Characteristics

The activity connected to the wave and current flume tank of Boulogne-sur-Mer involves a wide variety of tests dealing with offshore equipment and structure, coastal hydrodynamics, fishing techniques, wave/current/structure interactions.

The modularity of this equipment allows us :

to adapt the characteristics of the upstream flow (turbulence intensity, speed profiles)
to carry out combined trials under wave and current
to adjust the depth between 0.5 to 2.2 m
